and Student Internships

Southcreek Global Media is looking for talented photographers from geographically diverse areas throughout North America and Europe. We are seeking photographers with a passion for what they do, and who are equipped with professional grade equipment to work fully credentialed at any f the following - pro and collegiate sporting events, entertainment / concert evenst, political events and fashion event media assignments.

Minimal Photographer Requirement

  • Professional grade camera body (Canon Mk II / Nikon D2HS, D3 etc) and a 2.8 minimal telephoto zoom 70mm -200mm lens (Canon L series / Nikon VR glass) to ensure the highest photography standards is our minimal "required" base equipment. We are sorry but consumer and "prosumer" grade photography equipment does not meet our equipment standard necessary for Southcreek Sports Media assignments.
  • Experience shooting hi-tempo sports photography in professional media environments with a proven record of working within an event / or teams unique specific photographer policies and guidelines.
  • Computer, software (programs such as Aperture, Photoshop, Lightroom etc) and a color calibration system for your monitor along with the ability to process, accurately metadata caption, and FTP hi-res images via a required broadband connection to our servers.
  • Please email your interest and past work history, equipment info, geographical area available for coverage, along with access to your portfolio for review to our Media Coordinator. You will receive a response within 48 hours.

Student Internship

Southcreek Global Media offers selected student candidates an internship with our company on a semester basis for university students requiring co-op placements. This programs involves Southcreek Global Media working hand and hand with students professors ensuring the required curriculum and experience is delivered to the student. Please submit your resume including all details of your current education program. Internships for selected candidates include al aspects of sports photography and editing, graphic design, and sports video production.

Southcreek Global Media is proud to be affiliated with the Ontario Government Ministry of Educations post graduate college and university student internship / co op placement program to give students studying photography and media the opportunity to work the in a healthy and positive environment that promotes teaching and learning through real life experience.
